Biography
Neighbors Complain was formed in Osaka in 2014. Their music — the emotional and sexy vocals by Oto, supported by a band inspired by New Classic Soul, Black Contemporary, NJS, and Rare Groove (Philadelphia Soul, Salsoul) — is reminiscent of Pharrell Williams, Bruno Mars, Mayer Hawthorne and TUXEDO, and could be aptly described as the next generation self-contained band. After their debut release in 2015, their music has gained wide popularity, and their song "Night Drivin'" was chosen for Suzuki Escudo's "Wild Graffitti" commercial. They sold out all shows on their first Tokyo/Osaka/Nagoya tour in December 2017, and performed at the internationally renowned Java Jazz Festival in March 2018, reaching audiences beyond Japan.
